Savita, 23, Monisha, 18, and 16-year-old Savitri are just like any other young women except their bodies have been covered from head to foot in thick hair.

They look like Arab women. Starting to see why they wear chadors or masks or whatever they call them.

That's not mean...it's telling the truth and it's a truth that should get us all out of our whoa is me bubble, you know the one we tend to climb into, when something insignificant doesn't go our way.

Wow, Now that is a hairy woman. I am not trying to be disrespectful or ugly, but damn. I know they make razors and at this point something needs to be done. I know they arrange marriages and such, but there just is not a big enough dowry.

It looks to me like there are other structural features affected by the mutation, namely nose, lip and jaws. It is fascinating that somewhere in our evolution those hair genes were suddenly turned off instead of being left on and that being non hairy held enough survival potential to affect selection in the dramatic way that it did. Either that or there was some sort of bottleneck and those who had the genes turned off survived leaving the trait buried waiting for mutation to change it again.

I've been wondering if oestrogen therapy might be a viable treatment for them..........

I don't know about Estrogen Therapy, but Nair should be a viable treatment.

Jimmy it says they have tried EVERYTHING.. thats why they are trying to raise money for Laser hair removal. I hope these girls do raise enough and are treated. I can only imagine the pain they might be going through especially when marriage is such a big part of their culture.

I don't think that removing that hair is gonna help their marriage chances. I know I am gonna get hammered for that, but @!$%# it, I am gonna be honest. They look like hairy troll dolls. They haven't tried a razor with hair that long on their faces, and I can guarantee that Lazer hair removal is a bitch. It takes many procedures to do small areas. I could not imagine doing your whole @!$%#ing body.

Oh, and that NADS @!$%# guarantees it will take your hair off. Maybe somethin from the land down under is just what they need.

Jimmy: Im not going to argue with you, but yes that was pretty crude what you said. Its not as if its their fault. As far as their looks, arranged marriages arent just partial to looks.. I bet if they DID lose the hair, they can find prospects. They wont be the best looking guys, but Im sure the girls wouldn't hold that against them. The problem is they HAVE used razors and other depilatories to remove hair but to no avail. It just comes back to the next day. I know you are being blunt and to the point, but I DO feel bad for these girls and calling them hairy troll dolls is not very nice :( I think they look sweet and innocent.. look past the surface Jimmy :)

I undertsand what you are trying to say, and I am sure they are very nice ladies. Often you find you love someone for who they are rather than how they look. I once dated a girl that I was not attracted to at all, but I sure did enjoy spending time with her. She was very nice. In the end things did not work out. I met my wife a few months later and she had already left me, because I was "not very affectionate". I apologize for my crudeness, but I was born in a the country and while we may be crude we don't lie. We simply call it like we see it. I would rather be crude though peronally, at least you know where I stand at all times. I certainly will not piss on you and tell you it is raining.
